Simple Background Card

This is my attempt at making a simple background card look striking.  This was made for my Aunt Pat's birthday with hopes that she will enjoy the efforts.

The card and envelope were cut on my Silhouette Cameo with generic kraft card stock.  The liner paper (seen in the cut-out butterfly area) was originally white paper that I colored with Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays.  I love the way that turned out.

(The grey spot is just a shadow on my lens-- It isn't on the paper).
The "Happy Birthday" was sketched with my Silhouette Cameo on white glossy card stock.  The white layer is edged with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze.  It is adhered to the orange Core'dinations card stock with score-tape and the bottom kraft layer is edged with Ranger Distress Paint.

I used a bright orange Core'dinations Cardstock from the Mod Colors stack for the underlayment and all layers of the butterflies.  The pearls on the upper left as well as the body and antanae of the butterfly were done with Ranger's Liquid Pearls.  The lime green edging was done with Tim Holtz Distress Paints topped with Ranger Stickles Glitter Glue.  The orange tips of the flowers were attained with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and highlighted with more Ranger Stickles.  The organza bow was heated to make it shrivel up a bit and is from Really Reasonable Ribbons.

I am going to submit this card for the challenge at:
